Approved plans for The Ridge at Stone Butte (formerly referred to as Stone Butte East) outline a gated community featuring an extensive network of pedestrian paths and trails. These pathways will run along the Cave Creek frontage and weave throughout the neighborhood. Thanks to its prime location next to the preserve, the community is designed to highlight the natural desert landscape. More than 40% of the land will remain open space, dedicated to trails, amenity parks, and recreational areas.
The builder plans to dedicate approximately 75 acres in the northwest section to the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department for the creation of a future park or preserve, which will be open for public use.
The Ridge at Stone Butte will feature two community entrances—one accessible from Cave Creek Road and the other from Desert Peak Parkway (Pinnacle Peak Road).
In the northeastern corner of the community, the multi-family residential area will include two distinct housing options: approximately 260 townhomes and 140 built-to-rent casita-style apartments.
